Last week we looked at the new programs being offered on the five major commercial broadcast networks. While there are over 400 different scripted programs being offered across a variety of platforms over the coming year, including satellite and the internet, we are reporting here on some exciting shows that are available free of charge, without cable or wi-fi, in high definition in your home. Let’s take a day-by-day look at some of the more popular, critically acclaimed series returning this fall on ABC, CBS, The CW, Fox, and NBC. As we noted last week, some have already begun.

SUNDAY: CSI is one of the most successful franchises in television history, spawning several spinoffs. CSI: Cyber returns Oct. 4 but on Sept. 27, the original CSI: Crime Scene Investigation signs off with a special two-hour series finale. Once Upon a Time returns for a fanciful 5th season on Sept. 27 with a recap show at 6 and the season premiere at 7. NBC has an exciting NFL football game in prime time each week.
