Howard presents a Christmas musical, Christ Is Here!

20151220_180539An evening of music merriment flooded the atmosphere during the Howard Congregational United Church of Christ (HUCC) Christmas Concert one week prior to Christmas.

An array of songs was presented as well as group selections, solos, instrumentals and a special treat by the pastor and worship leader, Min. Ralph Thompson, who performed a surprising ‘rap’ session during the song ‘Joyful Joyful!’

The evening was complete when everyone was invited to the reception to meet, greet and enjoy light holiday delicacies.

The HUCC choir members included: Wanda Akins, Music Minister Meritus; Donna Board; Richard Mayberry; Teree McCormick; Patsy Miller; Lorrita Turnley; and Mary Welch. The Music Ministry director was Kevin Madill, and Connye Florance was the vocal director.

HUCC is located at 2802 Buchanan Street where the pastor is Rev. Ralph Thompson.
