Tanisha Cheek is the chair of the Sisterhood Ministry. Cheryl Dotson is the chair of this tea.

“The Sisterhood Tea serves as an opportunity to not only empower women and girls but also to raise funds for two initiatives: Pampering with a Purpose, which is a free event to bring awareness to breast cancer and domestic violence and His Daughter’s Worth, a girl’s program instilling character and values,” said Rev. Sondrea L. Tolbert, Fairfield assistant pastor.

The event facilitators are encouraging guest’s attire to be in an array of polka dots and pearls, with hats and gloves (optional) in true ‘High Tea fashion.’ All attendees will indulge in a four-course meal with an unlimited assortment of teas along with entertainment and giveaways. It is open to all women and girls in the community.

The event serves as an opportunity to encourage women and girls to achieve their goals as well as for a fundraiser for specific programming targeted at women and girls. The annual free Pampering with a Purpose event raises awareness of breast cancer and domestic violence educating thousands on prevention and support. The His Daughter’s Worth initiative inspires girls in elementary, middle, high school and college through programs that address body image, healthy relationships, and communication.

Tickets are affordably priced at $45 for adults and $35 for children under 12 and may be purchased at Kingdom Café & Grill, 2610 Jefferson St., Nashville, Tenn. or via .
