Celebrate Juneteenth with the Jefferson Street Art Crawl and the Black Business Experience

Juneteenth is the commemoration of African American freedom from slavery in the US. Come out and enjoy these free events on Saturday, June 22.

The inaugural Juneteenth Black Business Experience. 
Supporting over 50 Black-owned businesses in celebration of Juneteenth, stops include the Nashville Black Market vendor fair, a SOLE Day Black Family Affair, an Afropreneurial Community Mixer for Business owners and several other stops on Jefferson Street, ending with the Jefferson St Art Crawl.

As the culmination of Black Restaurant Week, the inaugural Juneteenth Black Business Experience is a family-friendly celebration of Black-owned businesses aiming to uplift and support Black-owned businesses and celebrate with food, fellowship, and fun. Black Business Boom and Fellavision, with JUMP and the Jefferson Street Art Crawl, offer shuttle service for attendees to visit 10 Black-owned businesses on historic Jefferson Street. Many businesses are offering Juneteenth special discounts. You can take the shuttle or pop up at the locations on your own. In addition to the shuttle stops, there are 3 pop-up events with a variety of Black business vendors. The day begins with a vendor fair hosted by the Nashville Black Market beginning at 12 Noon. At 3 pm the Jefferson Street Block Party begins with a Black Business Mixer hosted by Afropreneurial Community at One Drop Ink, showcasing Black-owned businesses and offering lots of resources for Black business owners. Also at 3 pm, a family fun vendor fair hosted by Nashville S.O.L.E. kicks off with bounce houses, treats for the children and a live DJ at the Jefferson Street Park on 15th and Jefferson; this event wraps up at 8 pm. 3rd Anniversary Jefferson Street Art Crawl
It’s time to celebrate the 3rd year of Magic on Jefferson Street with the Anniversary of the Jefferson Street Art Crawl from 6p-9pm. There will be so much to see and do with an expanded and renewed crawl. Woodcuts Gallery will present “Owner’s Favorites.” With 32 years of experience as a gallery owner, Nate Harris will select from his hidden gems. Rare original pieces, as well as framed prints, will be available from acclaimed artists.

One Drop Ink Tattoo will feature the works of artist Amanda Downs and host the Afropreneurial small business networking event. Garden Brunch Cafe will host pieces by high school students from Pearl Cohn that participated in an art program with Norf and Gideon’s Army, two amazing community organizations.

Two new locations: Jefferson Street Sound is a hidden gem and features a wealth of knowledge on Jefferson Streets amazing musical heritage, featuring the jazz sounds of the Tina Brown Band and visual works of Dr. Morgan Hines. Matthew Walker Health Center, a cornerstone of Nashville founded by the influential Dr. Matthew Walker, will feature the beautiful kinetic sculptures of Benneth Wilson. See you there!
