Expressions of faith

This message discusses the power of God's Rhema word, which is a spoken, personalized word that brings strength, faith, and fulfillment to God's promises. It highlights the transformative and confirming power of God's word, as seen in Scripture.

Bishop-Elect Dr. Monterey D. Lee, Sr.

Today’s word is going to transcend your spirit, for God is bringing you out to a place of eminence.

“And Moses said unto the people: ‘Fear not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He, [God] will show to you today: for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will see them no more forever,’” Exodus 14:13.

How do you respond when God has released a word for your life? What are your reactions, your thoughts; how do you feel what do you say? When God releases a word over your life, it comes as a word of knowledge—a word of wisdom, and a word of understanding. The counsel of God is a word of fortitude strength of mind, strength of character and the strength of power and fearlessness.

The word of God will give you a ‘Rhema’ word that is filled with the spirit of God and the personally of God. The word ‘Rhema’ in the Greek means “utterance or things said.” In the Bible, it is a primary word used to describe Scripture, and it refers to the spoken ‘word of God’ that is applied personally. When God speaks a word over your life that word is supported by scripture, and it must fulfill His plan for your life.

“My word which goes out of My mouth; it will not return to Me void [useless, without results], but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the things for which I sent it,” Isaiah 55:11.

A Rhema word is what is spoken, and it has within itself a spiritual seed that releases faith, life and power. This is why there is only one spirit, one seed, one faith, one life, and one power. That’s God for us and us only.

When God speaks a word (Rhema, it’s a word that was spoken before time and is now being spoken again for the releasing of what is to happen and what is to come to pass.

In other words, the Rhema is the word which the Lord speaks a second time this is known as the word of elevation. It’s the confirmation word, the living word, and the fulfilled word. When God confirms the word on you, He establishes you in  truth and He gives correction. He will approve it to make you stronger and correct you to keep you right. When God releases the Rhema you can believe that what He has said is on the way.

For this word, the Rhema, is accomplished through the operation of the Holy Spirit to where the Logos (the bible) become Rhema. The word of God, or the principle of divine reason and creative order is now in-motion for you now. When God speaks His word (Logos) the second time, you know it’s going to become Rhema: it will come to pass. God does not speak aimlessly. When God speaks a second time, it’s because you need to hear the word that He spoke to get you through what lies ahead. Who has the word that has already been spoken to you? It doesn’t mean something bad. It means just what it says—what lies ahead. When He speaks to you a second time, it’s already done.

When we get there, we don’t lose our minds; when we get there, we don’t swell; when we get there, we don’t forget who brought us. When God releases His word, it transforms us into His likeness as we walk in the Dunamis Power of the Lord. For His word is true and eternal.
