The Nashville (TN) Alumni Chapter (NAC) of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated proudly marks a century of honorable achievement in every field of human endeavor. Chartered on April 24, 1926, their Centennial Celebration commemorates 100 years of brotherhood, leadership, and service to the Nashville community.
As a proud 1973 initiate and Life Member of Kappa Alpha Psi and former Keeper of Records for NAC for a decade in the 1980s, this historic occasion is highly personal to me. It honors the visionary Brothers who built the foundation on which we stand and celebrates the enduring legacy that continues to shape the next generation.
This year, at the 80th South Central Province Council, NAC brought home three major honors: Website of the Year, Reclamation Chapter of the Year, and Chapter of the Year, a true testament to the hard work, dedication, and excellence of the brothers of NAC as they continue to embody achievement in every field of human endeavor, including numerous members who have won national honors and served national office in the past. NAC has hosted several Provincial Councils and a few Grand Chapters, or “Conclaves” as they are popularly known (1949 and 1993).
This weekend NAC reflects on a century of impact and ushers in the next 100 years with renewed purpose, unity, and excellence, beginning Thursday, April 23, with an Historical Marker Unveiling at the current Frat House (our 3rd) on Tigerbelle Drive. A Golf Tournament at Ted Rhodes (where else?) is at 8 am Friday, April 24 and a Closed Rededication Ceremony and Banquet is at 6 pm. The (Sold Out) Centennial Gala is Saturday evening, April 25, and the weekend closes on Sunday, April 26 with a 10 am Worship Service followed by a 1 pm Brotherhood Brunch and Memorial Service.
