Gilmore hosts FiftyForward Bordeaux’s annual ‘Hats Off to Bordeaux’

Join State Representative Brenda Gilmore as she hosts the fourth annual Hats Off to Bordeaux! Hat Fashion Show and Luncheon on Friday, June 21, at the FiftyForward/Patricia Hart Building, 174 Rains Avenue, Nashville, 37203. The event opens with a Silent Auction and Reception at 11 am followed by the Luncheon and Hat Fashion Show at noon. News Channel 5’s Meteorologist and Talk of the Town co-host, Lelan Statom, will emcee the event with musical entertainment by pianist Thomas Cain. Individual tickets are $35 and sponsorships are still available.

This annual event celebrates the historic community of Bordeaux and brings together FiftyForward Bordeaux center members, community leaders and local business partners. The event features a delicious catered luncheon and lively hat fashion show. This year the event will feature exclusively the millinery creations of hatWRKS, a local Nashville millinery shop specializing in custom hat design and repair. Local sponsors include Advance Financial Services, Zycron, Adex! Homesellers, Old Hickory Credit Union and Cigna HealthSpring.

All proceeds benefit FiftyForward Bordeaux in providing active aging programming for the Bordeaux community. FiftyForward Bordeaux serves a diverse community of senior adults in Northwest Nashville, specializing in outreach to low-income, disabled and otherwise isolated seniors. Not only does the center provide activities and enrichment, but referrals and access to many beneficial services, including Metro Social Services Congregate Meals, Medicare education and FiftyForward Living at Home Services.
