Golf entertainment leader Topgolf Entertainment Group, who have announced that their Nashville venue will open in early 2017, recently submitted plans for an additional 7,900-square foot concert venue, called Topgolf Live, to be added to the 65,000-square foot building. Topgolf Live would include a VIP mezzanine level with two large glass overhead doors that open to an outside terrace. Topgolf Live’s capacity on the standing room only music floor would be 500 people. The capacity for the VIP lounge is 52 people, and 49 on the VIP rooftop terrace. Topgolf Live would also feature a green room, coat check/box office area and restrooms. The Lower Lounge of the main Topgolf venue is typically used as a gaming area in other locations.

In Nashville, this will be an additional bar connected to Topgolf Live. The Nashville venue will have an upscale industrial appearance. Topgolf Nashville will be located on 13 acres at Cowan Street and the Jefferson Street Bridge in east Nashville, right on the Cumberland River and slightly northeast of downtown.

Topgolf is the only entertainment center of its kind, offering competitive golfing games for all ages and skill levels and advanced technology to track the accuracy and distance of players’ shots. Those who just want to relax can enjoy the upscale, laid-back ambiance that boasts more than 230 high-definition flat-screen TVs and an extensive food and beverage menu.

“Nashville is one of the most exciting, fast-growing cities in the country,” said Topgolf Vice President of Real Estate Development Zach Shor. “It’s a major destination for sports, entertainment and music, which makes it a perfect market for Topgolf. Our location will be less than a mile north of Nissan Stadium, so this will give football fans another place to celebrate on game days.”

The new three-level location will include up to 3,000 square feet of private event space and 102 climate-controlled hitting bays that can host up to six players at one time. Shor estimates that Topgolf Nashville will serve approximately 450,000 visitors in its first year of operation. Nearly half of all Topgolf guests describe themselves as “non-golfers.”

Topgolf’s economic impact in its local communities is remarkable, creating 450 full-and part-time jobs at each location and serving as an anchor tenant that tends to attract other popular franchises to the area. In fact, its economic output in Nashville alone is expected to exceed $264.5 million over a 10-year-period, according to a third-party audit.

Topgolf is a global sports entertainment community creating the best times of your life, with 24 locations serving 8 million guests annually. Players hit golf balls containing computer microchips that track each shot’s accuracy and distance while awarding points for hitting targets on the outfield.

Each venue offers an upscale and playful experience, featuring an impressive food and beverage menu, music, games, climate-controlled hitting bays, and hundreds of HDTVs.

Topgolf also brings fun, interactive experiences to the community through its Topgolf U lessons, leagues, tournaments, KidZone parties, and social and corporate events.
