Rossi Turner, legendary dancer, will share a bit of history at Manna From Heaven Dinner Theater, 3510 West Hamilton Ave. on Saturday, January 20. He will be presenting ‘Legacy of a Dancer’ through an international photo exhibit, a dance performance and a book signing. ‘Legacy’ will begin with an international photo exhibit displaying Turner’s 290-day trip around the world. The gallery will open at 2 pm. The production will begin at 3 pm with a book signing held immediately following the performance.
Rossi Turner is a critically acclaimed performer of dance, theater, writing, motivational speaking and teaching. Turner has earned recognition around the world as an accomplished entert-ainer and scholar by mesmerizing audiences on stage and television for over three decades.
Turner has toured and performed in France with the Writhm Dance Company of Detroit, been a member of the International Assoc-iation of Black Dance, and worked with internationally known actor/director Barry Scott.
“I am excited about sharing this experience,” said Turner. “Growing up in Nashville and sharing what I’ve learned in Nashville is always exciting to me, and it is not always easy for people to hear the truth about Black heritage.
I’m always eager to share snippets of ‘our’ story through dance, acting, writing and teaching.”
Turner plans to open a performance studio in Music City called simply A Rossi Turner Studio (ARTS).
Turner is also a noted political activist and historian who shows a great passion for the less fortunate and the elderly.
‘Legacy of a Dancer’ will be at Manna From Heaven Dinner House, 3510 West Hamilton Road and Clarksville Hwy, Nashville, Tennessee. Tickets can be purchased for $10, adults, and $2 children.
