New author Seanne G. Wilson is enjoying and appreciating the initial success of her new literary project, Overcoming Me! – Overcoming You! Her name is as unique as she is, and it is pronounced: ‘SEE –an-Wil-sun.’ She chose to release the books at this time because it was 50 years from her birth and 40 years since she was molested.

Becoming an author may be a new addition to this multi-talented woman of God’s list, but has already proven to be a follow up of her many attributes. She is known to many for being the Tennessee State University Women’s Center director, a signature program for the college. Her ability to motivate and coach others is drawn from her faith and personal life experiences. She is also the founder/CEO and motivational speaker for the Anointed Purpose Empowerment Conference, formerly the Women of Excellence. Keeping the bonds of sisterhood strong on a daily basis, she is a member of the Alpha & Omega (beginning and the end) sorority.

The books are a combination of empowerment, motivation, and spirituality and another is already in the works. Overcoming Me! – Overcoming You! is a transparent, relevant and riveting personal life journey that progresses from love to hurt; from hurt to despair, depression to help; and finally, from healing to purpose. One reader said, “It is a real page-turner to be enjoyed with or without a cup of tea.”

The publication addresses a myriad of significant issues ranging from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), molestation, anxiety, procrastination, self-sabotage, anger management and passive-aggressive behavior.

“Overcoming You! Overcoming Me! coincides with the ‘Me Too’ movement and depression and suicide,” said Seanne, “exemplified by actor/ media personalities Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain among others.

“What do you do when you’ve blamed everyone but yourself for your issues and circumstances only to find out you were the problem? I’ll tell you in my book.” Among many, one of her favorite Bible passages is Romans 7:18-20: “For I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh.

“For I have the desire to do what is right, but I cannot carry it out.

“For I don’t do the good I want to do, but instead do the evil that I don’t want to do.

“But if I do what I don’t want to do, I am no longer the one who is doing it, but it is the sin that is living in me.”

Updates and additional information about Seanne can be found via her social media outlets and her namesake website.
