Bourgeois named to USL Week 14 Team of the Week

Bradley Bourgeois

With a pinpoint headed assist in stoppage time and another Nashville SC shutout win, defender Bradley Bourgeois was named to the USL’s Week 14 Team of the Week.

Bourgeois was a monster on the back line for Nashville, winning 19 of 23 duels, including eight of 10 aerial duals. The biggest of those came in the 94’ minute from Nashville, when Bourgeois headed a free kick from Captain Michael Reed back across the face of goal for Ropapa Mensah to tap in and win the game. Bourgeois’ header fell perfectly to Mensah for his first assist of the season.

While he was big in the air, Bourgeois also made his mark on last Saturday’s 1-0 win over North Carolina FC in the passing game. Bourgeois completed 85.1 pct. of his passes and 56.3 pct. in the attacking half.

The honor is the first for Bourgeois this season and the fourth for a Nashville SC player. Alan Winn (Week 4), Lebo Moloto (Week 9) and Brandon Allen (Week 12) have all been named to a Team of the Week. Allen was named the Player of the Week in Week 12.
