“So shall my word be that go forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing where I sent it,” Isaiah 55:1.
Isaiah tells us to call upon the Lord while He is near. Don’t wait until you have drifted far away from God to seek Him. The people of Israel were foolish. They acted as if they knew what God was thinking and planning. God had already informed them in.
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord,” Isaiah 55:8.
His knowledge and wisdom are far greater than man’s. We are foolish to try to fit God into what we want Him to be—to make his plans and purposes conform to our plans.
“Incline your ear, and come unto me; hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David,” Isaiah 55:3. God’s covenant with David promised a permanent homeland for the Israelites, a homeland free from threat and wars from heathen nations.
“Seek the Lord while he may be found, call upon him while he is near: let the wicked forsake his ways, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he (God) will have mercy upon him: and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon,” Isaiah 55:6.
But Israel did not fulfill its part of the covenant by obeying God and staying away from idols. Even so, God was ready to renew his covenant again, for He is a forgiving God. Don’t come running to Him when He comes to judge the earth. Do it now, while you can—before it’s too late.
God has a promise for you only if you forsake your ways and “return unto me says the Lord,” 2 Corinthians 1:20.
Do you want the promises of God? All His promises are “Yes.” To the glory of God, Amen.
“If you get yourself together and control your flesh, I will bless you,” says the Lord. “I will release my power in you. I will give you favor in the earth. You will grow, and have riches and great success in your life. I will send you to places you’ve never gone before. Your story will never end. Whatever you put your hands to do, it will prosper. Wherever you go, the Angels of the Lord will go with you,” Deuteronomy 28:13.
“The Lord your God will make you the head and not the tail placing you above and not beneath, if you obey the commands of the Lord your God which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them. For if I give you my word it cannot come back unto me void, if it goes forth out of my mouth it cannot return unto me revoked, canceled, nullified, expired, out of date or worthless. But it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the things where to I sent it,” Psalm 107:20.
If God said it, you can count on it—only if you turn and forsake your ways.
“God sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. When you are set free, you will celebrate and travel home in peace. Mountains and hills will sing as you pass by, and trees will clap. Trees will grow in the fields that was once covered by thorns. And then those trees will stand as a lasting witness to the glory of the Lord your God.”
The manifestation of God awaits you.
