Bishop-Elect Dr. Monterey D. Lee, Sr.

“They have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who has believe our report? So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God,” Romans 10:16-17.

The Gospel, The Good News of God’s word, must be taken to the world so others can respond to God’s message of salvation. God the Father is calling for all of us to take part in making His message known to the world.

“Go and teach my word to all nations,” Matthew 28:19.

As disciples (those who are disciplined), we have a charge to go and compel others to hear and believe the word of God. This is the identification that we have with God as His covenant people.

There is no other God that is kind to both Jews and Gentiles (you and I). The promise of salvation is the same to all who call upon the name of the Lord Jesus. He is the Son of God, God manifest in the flesh, and all who believe in Him shall be saved.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is given (preached) not only to be believed, but to be obeyed. When we live the word (obey), it strengthens our faith and it builds our relationship with God. Our minds are made new. Life is enriched with the word of God for victorious living. As faith walkers we become loyal, confident, walking in truth. We have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

You have a holy boldness about you. You move from the unseen to the seen. Eyes are opened and you can see much clearer in the Spirit. Knowing the voice of God from all other voices, your heart is right and you love and care for others more.

“But they have not all obeyed the gospel,” Romans 10:16.

“Isaiah said, Lord, who hath believed our report?” Isaiah 53:1.

You need to know that Esaias was a preacher of righteousness, one who lived a spiritual life before God and all men—a teacher of truth and holiness.

“Lord who hath believed our report?”

Where shall we find a believer? Who will hear it, and to whom it is preached?

Isaiah was looking for a prophetic confirmation for prophetic preaching—a divine destiny, a universal surrender to a universal word. Will the Jews believe your word? Will the Gentiles believe your word? Who hath believed the revelation of God’s word that was made known to us?

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God,” Romans 10:17.

Before mankind can believe and obey, there must first be something for them to believe. As humans our brain evolves to believe in something. We are a believing branch that is connected to the vine.

“I am the vine; you are the branch. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing,” John 15:5.

In the relationship between science and religion, people often take a paralyzed position where one cannot move forward or believe in anything. We are at a stoping point in our body and mind. It’s either we believe, or we don’t believe. If we believe, it’s in something meaningful that will spring us from the natural to the spiritual. If we don’t believe, its because we can’t see beyond the phantom of our own imagination.

So how do you believe? Do you believe in God or do you believe in the universe? Believing in God is a part of our human nature. Believing in the universe means you just believe in a higher power.    When you believe in God, and the word of God, we have a relationship that is spiritual and second to none.

This is why you don’t open up your spirit to hear what man wants you to hear, you only open up your spirit to hear the word of God.

“Take care then how you hear, for to the one who has more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he thinks that he has will be taken away. Is there a word from the Lord?” Luke 8:18.

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the Church,” Revelation 2:29.

You can only be delivered by the word of God, made free by the word of God, have new life, freedom, liberty, power, ability, might, potential, strength, and a bright future.

Where is your faith? Do you believe the word of God? Have you heard the word of God for your life, and are you obeying it?
