Who would believe that through one person’s illness, many would be made to realize the power of prayer, belief, trust and promise? Well, maybe it happens all the time. If it doesn’t, it has happened in this situation.
Rev Enoch Fuzz, pastor of Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church, was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer early in the year of 2018. At that time he was given 15 months to ‘love.’ (Auto correction typed ‘love’ instead of ‘live,’ and that’s actually correct!) Rev. Fuzz was given this time to show what love is.
The Bible tells a story of 10 men who were cured of the dreadful disease of Leprosy. Yet there was only one who returned to say thank you. Read Luke 17: 11-19. Everyone who knows Rev. Fuzz, has prayed and continues to believe in his miracle.
The person who first recognized that something was amiss with his health and demanded that he seek medical care was Dr. Rachel Thomas. Not knowing what the outcome would be, she learned early in Rev. Fuzz’s illness about his true meaning in her life. Dr. Thomas stands just a few feet tall, but has exhibited a mighty act of care in the field of health and a mighty act of care for Rev. Fuzz.
Rev. Fuzz, his members, family and friends are grateful for Dr. Thomas and her ability to recognize his health problem and demand that he receive medical attention at that critical time. Yet she is extraordinarily grateful to Rev. Fuzz for teaching her and showing her how and what the love of God looks like. And we can all be thankful to Rev. Fuzz as well for being a witness to God’s promise through the power of prayer, belief and trust in His word. Fuzz stands out with his strong support for church and community by showing love to God by continuing in his purpose for every individual’s life.
This particular issue of Fuzz’s journey is also dedicated as a tribute. Rev. Fuzz celebrated his birthday and 42 years in ministry on October 1. As he continues in his journey, we continue to pray as he also continues to pray for you!
