“God decided to let his people know this rich and glorious secret which he has for all people. This secret is Christ himself, who is in you. He is our only hope of glory,” Colossians 1:27.

What is hope? Hope is a feeling of expectation and desire from God, knowing that a certain thing is going to happen and come to pass. It’s the confidence that we have in Him. God has given us a promise that His strength and power is coming into existence for us, because this is His faithfulness to us as we put our faith and trust in Him.

What is the messianic hope? This is God’s promise to us that He will raise up a king to be our Savior with an anointing to deliver us and raise us up as a faithful people to a faithful Leader. This is to have an authority figure over us to lead us into faithfulness as the sons and daughters of God. This hope is real like is was for the ancient house of Israel and it is extended to us to receive today. To receive what? To receive Jesus as our messianic hope that will redeem mankind back to the Father. Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? (Isaiah 6:8).

What is the messianic role and the responsibility of Jesus Christ? Jesus is the messiah, the Christ, who is the Savior, the redeemer, and the Son of God. As the messiah or the Christ, His responsibility is to come as the anointed one and save His people from their sins.

“We have seen and can testify that the Father has sent His Son, Jesus Christ to be the Savior [redeemer] of the world,” 1 John 4:14.

“God has made Jesus the man you nailed to the cross both Lord and Christ to save His people from their sins,” Acts 2:36.

“For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,” Philippians 3:20.

“We have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world,” John 4:42.

God chose to make known how great His power is among the Gentiles along with the riches of the glory of His mystery unto them. He said: “I will give you Christ and He will live in you, the hope of your glory. In Him you will have access to all resources, strength, wisdom, perfect peace, and hope.” This is how we are inspired by Him for the hope and the belief we have in the messiah, Jesus the Christ that gives us new life in Him through redemption. This is how we are pardoned form our sins and given reconciliation, adoption, justification, and eternal life. When we have Christ we have new life in Him. We have the love for one another and the peace of God with all mankind. Christ is the hope of our glory and we are one in Him. Now we have a life for which we live in the hope of Christ as we live in Him to show forth Him in all that we do and all that is to come. In Him we take on divine sonship as a divine person. This is God and man showing forth God’s redemption to mankind as Lord. I will be with you as God and I will dwell with you as Lord. This is His spiritual grace in us to do His will. The hope that we have is a gift from God that is Yeshua, i.e., Jesus the Christ, the messiah who is life in you. He is your Savior and deliverer. I will be with you as Lord, and I will give this life [Jesus] to each of you as you shear this gift [Christ] with one another. What a beautiful blessing we have in Him as we take on new life in Him.
