Greater Tuna plays at Miss Jeane’s Mystery Dinner Theatre

Miss Jeanne’s Mystery Dinner Theatre will be presenting a July 11-27 run of the crowd-pleasing comedy Greater Tuna, by Jaston Williams, Ed Howard, and Joe Sears. Greater Tuna is presented by Penguin Productions and directed by Asa Ambrister, and will be the first play produced at Miss Jeanne’s that will be outside of the mystery dinner show format.

This outrageous look at life in Tuna, Texas is a two-man show featuring 20 colorful characters, played by award-winning local actors Patrick Goedicke and Asa Ambrister in a series of quick costume changes. Goedicke won a 2013 ‘Lakie Award’ for his portrayal of Lt. Columbo in Lakewood Theatre’s Prescription: Murder. Ambrister was voted Best Supporting Actor of 2013 in Tennessee’s BroadwayWorld.com Awards.

The story introduces the audience to such citizens as beleaguered homemaker Bertha Bumiller, who is trying to keep her son Stanley in trade school, while comforting her daughter Charlene, who is distraught after being rejected from the cheerleading squad seven years in a row. Also stopping by for visits are R.R. Snavely, who has sighted a UFO in Tuna shaped like a chalupa, and his wife Didi, a used weapons shop proprietor.

“We hope that Nashville audiences will come see Greater Tuna, and have an opportunity to learn about some of the other exciting activities we are hosting at Miss Jeanne’s event space in the Opryland area,” said Ambrister.

Greater Tuna plays Fridays and Sundays, July 11-27. Friday shows will begin at 7:30 pm, and Sunday matinee show times are 2:30 pm. Tickets are $15 for adults, and $12 for seniors, students, and veterans. Meals will not be offered at any of the performances, but snacks and beverages will be available to purchase.

The show contains moderate adult language. Reservations are recommended, and may be made by calling Miss Jeanne’s Mystery Dinner Theatre at 615-902-9566. The theatre is located at 2416 Music Valley Drive in Nashville. For more information about Miss Jeanne’s, visit .
