For 14 years, KIAD Productions has honored local artists in the gospel industry. On April 16, friends and supporters will gather at the Church of God Headquarters on 1230 West Trinity Lane for an evening of awards and entertainment.

Damon King, radio personality, director and founder of Kiad Productions said he is glad to continue the awards each year and he enjoys the shows without doing all of the work. This is definitely a plus in the magnitude of this annual event.

There will be performances by a variety of local artists. Some of the performers include the following artists: Free Sprit Singers, Broken, San Franklin, Iva Foster & Rev. James Bolton of the famous Bolton Brothers.

These awards honor more than just the music industry. King recognizes the many facets of the gospel industry. He wanted to ensure that some of the other entities that make up the gospel industry through their support and development of musicians and artists would be recognized also.

Thus, the Gospel Music City Awards honors the following categories: Artist of the Year, Pastor of the Year, Church of the Year, and Song of the Year. There is also recognition of the legends in gospel and ministry.

KIAD Production is a full service marketing and promotion, hosting and mobile DJ company. With over 40 years of experience in radio and television marketing and advertising, KIAD Productions also specializes in hosting and producing concerts and gospel plays, in addition to the Gospel Music City Award show.

Currently, Damon King produces a morning show at 7 am on 760AM The Gospel.

“We strive to present the best in gospel music and ministry, while also producing some top gospel events,” said King.

While primarily working in the gospel arena, KIAD also utilizes their mobile DJ services to host other events, family reunions, concerts and more.
