Tenn. House Minority Leader Karen Camper hosts virtual Democratic Caucus legislative planning retreat ahead of 112th General Assembly session

Democratic Caucus

State Rep. Karen Camper announced that due to the global health pandemic and increase in coronavirus cases, she will convene the Tenn. House Democratic Caucus for an all-virtual legislative planning retreat ahead of the 112th General Assembly session.

“I believe that the safety of our legislators, staff, constituents, donors, and the entire community is important, but I also believe that collaboration on key policy issues is equally important.  Having the TN House Democratic Caucus retreat in an all-virtual format will allow Democratic lawmakers, staff, key stakeholders, and constituents the opportunity to safely gather to brainstorm policy, organize priorities, develop better working relationships, and fundraising in preparation for the upcoming 112th General Assembly,” said Rep. Camper.

The retreat will be held Monday, January 4-Tuesday, January 5 and will feature opportunities to connect with the retreat attendees as well as be able to participate in policy roundtable breakout sessions, a virtual exhibit hall for one-on-one meeting opportunities with lawmakers and stakeholders, and even a virtual press conference. There are both free and paid ways to participate in the retreat. For more information, visit <CAMP-PAC.com/leadershipretreat>.

Roundtable topics will include: redistricting, local elected officials roundtable; labor and workforce roundtable; education roundtable; health roundtable; technology roundtable; COVID-19 response; small business; agriculture; land grant committee report; and developing the Democratic message.
