We are almost to the end of January 2017, an amazing New Year indeed. The anticipation for the Las Vegas, Nevada based 32nd annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards takes place March 24-25.

Produced by Central City Productions (CCP) the Stellar Awards has been coined as the number one Gospel music awards and recognition show in the nation and worldwide Facts indicate that since January 1985, the Stellar Gospel Music Awards is the first and only Gospel music awards show in the country honoring Gospel music artists, writers, and industry professionals for their contributions to the Gospel Music Industry. The Stellar Awards ranks high in status as the only Gospel Music television awards program syndicated in over 140 markets nationwide.

The bulk of the talent has been minority-dominated in years past. But as the years roll on and innovation and changes take their rightful place, the mixture has become evident. Both on and off the red carpet, Gospel royalty, media professional staff and those just seeking a glimpse of this noted event fill the host and all surrounding hotel venues.

Once again the host venue for the pre-show and show taping is the Orleans Stadium Arena and Sports venue. It is located at 4500 West Tropicana Avenue, Las Vegas Nevada 89103. All things Stellar Awards unofficially kicks off the week of the actual pre-show and the big taping night. There are showcases for both seasoned and new artists, groups and industry professionals. Various nonprofit organizations have tied into the buzz, in support of the event and for raising awareness.

Accommodations and tickets directly tied into the Orleans Arena have been purchased in advance.

Hotel venues near the Orleans are hot items too, but just to be in the same city that week, rubbing shoulders with ‘Gospel royalty’ has caused many to become creatively resourceful. Although it’s only January, activity behind the scenes for CCP, the media promotions company for press/media affiliates, and the network who will carry the finished product is akin to Santa’s elves at Christmas time. For those who cannot venture off to ‘Sin City’ for an up close and personal experience, no worries. The details for the various networks and markets carrying the taped show, this year’s host, etc., will be announced soon as well.
