TSU Women of Legend and Merit Dinner April 5

The 13th Tennessee State University Women of Legend and Merit Awards Dinner is Tuesday, April 5, 2022. Noted actress Lynn Whitfield is the special guest. The event will feature honorees Attorney Phyllis Hildreth, Deputy Mayor Brenda Haywood, NewsChannel 5 Anchor, Producer Tuwanda Coleman, and Judge Allegra Walker. The event was originally scheduled for Tuesday, April 7, 2020, but had to be rescheduled due to pandemic concerns.

This auspicious evening celebrates influential women in the Nashville community and surrounding communities. The TSU campus family, alumni, students, and friends of the University, including you, are invited to attend this occasion. The awards program and dinner will be held in the TSU Gentry Center, at 3500 John A Merritt Blvd., Nashville, TN. At 6:30 p.m. the doors open, with the dinner & program at 7:00 p.m. Please purchase your ticket by Friday, April 1, 2022. TSU’s Women’s Center’s mission is to provide vital and comprehensive services that address the needs of the whole person by hosting programs and workshops that speak to the emotional, intellectual, physical, and financial well-being of the TSU woman. The Center aids students in identifying opportunities for academic success and positive personal development for freshman, upperclassmen, transfer, and non-traditional students by providing specialized support programs and referrals to community resources inclusive of on- and off-campus communities.

Located in the heart of the campus, the Tennessee State University Women’s Center offers the perfect space for women to study and relax, as well as to host meetings, discussions, and workshops in a safe, diverse environment that helps improve the lives and environment of all women at Tennessee State University as well as the surrounding community. All are welcome at the Tennessee State University Women’s Center.

Single tickets to the Women of Legend and Merit Awards Dinner event are only $100.00 each and proceeds go to help fund the amazing programs of the Women’s Center. Benefits accrue to sponsors, as follows: Table sponsors ($1,000 for a table of 10) receive public acknowledgment at the event and in the program. Bronze Slipper sponsors ($1,000 for a table of 10) also receive invitations for the table to the private VIP Reception and a ¼ page ad in the program; Silver Slipper sponsors ($1,000 for a table of 10) also receive invitations for the table to the private VIP Reception and a photo, and a 1/2-page ad in the program.

Gold Slipper sponsors ($1,000 for a table of 10) also receive invitations for the table to the private VIP Reception and photo, and a full-page ad in the program. Platinum Slipper sponsors ($1,000 for premier seating for a table of 10) also receive invitations for the table to the private VIP Reception and many lucrative benefits and recognitions are too numerous to detail here. Sponsorships are tax-deductible contributions less the market value of event tickets ($50.00).
