This year’s 2nd Annual Lorenzo Washington Day Gala is Wednesday, April 3 at Maxwell House Hotel. Lorenzo is the Founder & Curator of Jefferson Street Sound Museum (JSSM). The JSS museum is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that bridges historical preservation, and an impact on today’s music and entertainment with a full-service recording studio. His passion for family and community are the catalyst for his life journey, which encompasses an array of entrepreneurial ventures.
2024 Gala Honorees include Noble Blackwell, Recipient of first Jefferson Street Sound Museum Broadcasting Trailblazer Award; Lady Corder Chapman, Recipient of the Historic Jefferson Street Star Award; Tyrone Smith, Recipient of the Living Legends Award: Charles “Wigg” Walker, Recipient of the Living Legends Award; and Dr. Bobby Jones, Recipient of the Jefferson Street Sound Museum Gospel Trailblazer Award.
